I like where the thumbnail sketch is going. Have you started the actual drawing? Remember, it can be a half sheet of paper. Think about what color the cast shadows will be, could they have the complementary colors within them? So if an object is red, might the shadows have green in them? Looking forward to seeing your progress.
Good sketches so far, I can tell you are having fun exploring value development with the colored pencils and I am excited to see the larger drawing. I think the biggest challenge for you in this drawing will be to convey the texture and reflectivity of the Hershey kiss wrappers, but it will look so great in the end if you can get those to really pop.
