This portrait is amazing. I know that the project is an AD but, if I were Prof. Murphy, I’m hanging this up!

The range of values you got into this and the exact placements of all the objects in your drawing as well as all the meticulous little details is just super impressive

J this is absolutely beautiful! I am so impressed by your portrait of Deirdre, not sure I could do it as well as you have! I love that while you have added rich texture and value to the drawing, you have left your analytical grid lines to show your process for how you got there. I think it was smart to leave the background blank because it would have been way too busy with all of the other textures in the drawing. Instead, the white space really activates the drawing and makes the rest of your drawing pop out. Again, great job.

This is so well done!! I love the richness and variety of value. I also think you did an awesome job with Deidre’s portrait. The marks on the scarf are just beautiful. Very well done!!

J- this drawing took my breath away! The key components of analysis through line and perspective were accurately resolved but then you took it to an emotive level by adding my portrait showing humor and humanity. I love how you captured the feeling of Mountaintop studios from your remote perch in Tennessee. Bravo!!

The bonus portrait of Professor Murphy is excellent! Really great value work on her hair and sweater. She looks very realistic, which is interesting when combined with the sort of whimsical quality of the still life. A few of the vertical lines look a bit warped, and some of the perspective could be tightened up a bit, but overall it looks great and expressive.
